The law that was passed in 2006, however, goes much further than any previous law by combining legislative and executive lobbying registrations and regulations and by creating an independent ethics commission to oversee the administration of certain ethics laws that apply to the executive branch, legislative branch, and, to a certain extent, the judicial branch. As a result of the sweeping changes, both lobbying and the practice of certain areas of law are permanently changed. We will hear from the experts, examine the changes and what they mean for the future.
